| DESCRIPTION | Good quality pair of antique/vintage English loaded sterling silver candlesticks with octagonal bases and removable scones. Very much in the style of the 6 ½" pair by Thomas Folkington, London 1714, although Thomas's pair were of course without sconces (sconces not common for another thirty years or so). One has the probably original maroon leather to the base and the other felted over in green. I can supply free of charge new base cover material in traditional green felt, Cartier style red, or black fake leather should you wish. |
