| DESCRIPTION | Interesting and scarce pair of antique English Georgian cast solid sterling silver sugar tongs with Feather Edge decoration and a monogram engraving to the bow. Correctly hallmarked with just the lion passant and maker's. You may like to compare with M1533, a pair that I sold many years ago and were made in partnership with his brother Thomas around 1765. The partnership was on and off throughout much of the 1760s. |
