INDEX | ALL SILVER |
DESCRIPTION | Rare pair of Irish Georgian solid silver sugar nips or tea tongs with angular trilobe grips. Irish examples are usually profusely decorated and so this pair is very unusual in having no engraving at all. As is common with many Irish examples they are only marked with the Crowned Harp and Hibernia. I have previously found maker's marks within the box hinge but I am not taking this one apart to find out. |
