DESCRIPTION |
Very good Georgian silver cream jug with a beautifully gilded interior. Eight sided body with applied thread decorated handle and top rim above a deep floral and foliate engraved band. Laurel leaf engraved cartouche to each side, one with the original monogram engraving and the other blank, never erased. Below the plain central band alternate panels are flute engraved or floral and foliate engraved, all bordered by fine bright cut engraving. |
