DESCRIPTION | Good antique English William IV solid sterling silver milk or cream jug with a lightly gilded interior and discreet crest. At a time when England was enjoying three Kings in a single decade it is possibly no surprise that King's pattern flatware was at the peak of it's popularity. With lobed, bulbous body and all its scroll and shell decoration, if there was ever a King's pattern milk jug then this would be it. Or, more suitably, a King's pattern sauce boat. |
