| DESCRIPTION | Antique English Georgian solid sterling silver tea pot stand with central engraved initial below crest. The underside displaying the original assayer's scrape. Quite interesting fact; these stands were made to hold the newly fashioned flat-bottomed and legless oval tea pots and protect your polished mahogany table. The tea pots were made for a couple of years before someone thought to make the first stand. Today these stands are often used to add display emphasis to another piece. |
