| DESCRIPTION | Scarce set of six antique English Georgian solid sterling silver Old English pattern table forks with no engraving but a probable erasure verso. All the maker's mark are superb but some of the duty marks are part rubbed and one completely erased by the erasure of the engraving. The tines are nice and level and I suspect that they have been levelled only once. I have never seen PB.IB forks before so looked online for some guidance on the price. So far I have found nothing. None for sale and none ever sold. I know that they are rare but this situation is unique. If you can find some links to other PB.IB forks especially those with some price history please share. As this mark has passed unrecognised for most of its history I am fearful that much of the brothers' fork production has already succumbed to the melt. |
