DESCRIPTION | Scarce set of SIX NOT TWELVE as pictured antique English Victorian large bead Pointed Old English Bead pattern solid sterling silver handled table knives with high quality satin finish parallel steel blades and of pleasing weight and large proportions. Traditional pitch (pine sap) loading so should not be boiled and probably not cleaned in the dishwasher. Should the blades ever move it is a simple process to re-seat them. |
SILVERSMITH | Very lightly struck and now rubbed. Distinctive cusped shield outline plus two over two letters narrows it down to just three or four makers but as they all made knife handles I can go no further. |
