| DESCRIPTION | Excellent condition and fine quality antique English Georgian solid sterling silver orange or lemon (the names are interchangeable) strainer with a gadroon decorated top rim and cast rococo handle of leaf capped scrolls and shell terminal. Suspension clip below handle and the bowl pierced with overlapping six-petalled flowers. Complete set of hallmarks within the bowl and additional lion passant (sterling) to the underside of the handle. Pleasingly patinated colour that I preferred to keep but would be easy to bright polish should you wish. |
