DESCRIPTION | Superb, highest quality, antique English Georgian cast solid sterling silver salt with a gilded interior and Fiddle & Thread pattern spoon. Matching crests and will have been together since 1829. The salt is almost unnecessarily heavy and the lion's paw feet beautifully formed. When you are making some of the finest silver the world has ever seen, about to receive a Royal Appointment and you have the one of the world's greatest spoonmakers next door it makes good sense to buy in your stock spoons. Some may think this salt a bit expensive but the moment you hold it in your hand you will understand. |
