DESCRIPTION |
Massive Edwardian antique English sterling silver gilt box with a wood lined and matt gilded interior.
Ribbon tied cast swag decoration applied around the edges of the piano hinged lid.
The lid's central section bright cut engraved with a blank oval cartouche amidst ribbon tied harebells.
The whole supported by four cast solid silver winged mask feet. The removable wood partition has three positions.
Although original intended for cigarettes or cigars this box has many other uses with jewellery being one of the more obvious.
