DESCRIPTION |
Georgian silver Irish Fiddle pattern basting spoon with a frontal crest and a 'D' to the drop. There is a splice joint midway down the stem. This is an odd place for a repair so this spoon was made in two halves. It is possible that there has been an OEP to Fiddle conversion but I discount this as the proportions are too good and the date, although early for Fiddle pattern, certainly is not too early. |
