| OVERALL CONDITION |
So often with this design the wire loops become detached from the base. I believe that this has happened over the years and there are several resolderings. There has also been some extra silver solder added to one end of the central base bar on the underside to give added strength. I am now confident that this toast-rack is in good robust condition and should require no further attention.
| MAJOR FAULTS |
none | ||
MINOR FAULTS |
See above. A little silver solder from the earlier repairs has run into the acanthus decoration of the base rim and softened the pattern slightly. This is not particularly noticeable and is certainly not distracting from the beauty of this piece
