DESCRIPTION | Very good antique English Georgian solid sterling silver mote spoon, the bowl with typical for the period crosslet and scroll piercing and an unusual facetted drop over a balloon boss. The terminal with well preserved pyramid point. This wonderful survivor ticks all the boxes for these items and if you are to only ever buy one mote spoon this would be an excellent contender. Fully hallmarked with very well preserved and presented, clearly readable hallmarks. It is rare to find such a good maker's mark together with the lion passant. |
