DESCRIPTION

Charles II silver Trefid spoon with original initials engraved to the back of the broad, thick, parallel stem. The stem joins the bowl with a notch joint and then continues into a scroll decorated ribbed rat tail.

DATE or HALLMARK

circa 1680, there is scant evidence that this piece was ever struck with a date letter, just a hint of where a mark may have been.
