DESCRIPTION |
This is the big brother of Georgian silver toddy ladles. This type of piece will usually have a delicate twisted baleen handle and a flimsy bowl. This bowl, although not chunky, is significantly larger and stronger than you would expect. The handle is of brown turned Georgian mahogany that I suspect is a period replacement because the silver collar has been widened and possibly extended to accommodate it. |
