Silfren and The Bedford Gallery
DESCRIPTION |
Georgian silver Beaded Old English pattern basting spoon with an elephant crest. |
| SILVERSMITH |
Sad story. I found this spoon unpolished and with a couple of bowl bumps. The makers mark was very faint but just discernable as that of Hester Bateman. My silversmith has removed the bowl bumps and polished throughout. He has done a lovely job except that the makers mark is now completely lost. I must therefore offer this spoon as maker unknown. |
