DESCRIPTION | Set of six solid sterling silver Old English pattern spoons with pointed bowls. Originally marketed as grapefruit spoons, today these items are mostly used for ice cream and sorbet. The original ice cream spoons were more like spades and used for handmade iced cream. Modern production methods and refrigeration produces a much harder ice cream best attacked with a pointed bowl. |
