DESCRIPTION |
Beautifully cased set of six Georgian silver Old English pattern spoons and matched sugar tongs with later bright cut engraved decoration and matt gilding. It is possible that the spoons were engraved to match the original
engraving on the sugar tongs. The custom built case was made about 1880 and so this is very likely to also be the date of the later decoration and gilding. |
