Silfren and The Bedford Gallery
DESCRIPTION |
Georgian silver Queen's pattern cheese scoop of unusual design in that the scoop is a separate piece of silver to the stem. My silversmith has just tidied up this joint and there is a good old repair evident as well. |

The handle is hollow, pitch filled and this had come adrift causing some damage to the collar. Our silversmith has refilled with new pitch and so this scoop is back in sound and functional order. The collar has been tidied but the repair not completely hidden. |
