OVERALL CONDITION |
excellent with full length and level tines, no engravings or erasures. Fork far right in first image has a flaw mid-stem, most likely from a trapped then compressed tiny gas bubble when the silver ingot was initially worked. I expect that it felt rough to touch and so has been softened by polishing. This polish has also softened the thread decoration directly next to it on one side, see penultimate image. |
