DESCRIPTION |
Large and useful Georgian silver King's Hourglass pattern handled carving knife with a new stainless steel blade and crested with a peacock over a ducal coronet. Recently reloaded and safe for food use. The crest is for William Harcourt, third and last Earl Harcourt died 1830 and inherited by Edward Venables-Vernon-Harcourt (10 October 1757 – 5 November 1847) who was Bishop of Carlisle from 1791 to 1807 and then Archbishop of York until his death. |
