Silfren and The Bedford Gallery
DESCRIPTION |
Five plus one very hefty Georgian silver Fiddle, Thread and Shell variant pattern table forks. The plus one is a silver sand cast copy, although not of any of the other five, so more of these forks must exist despite the unusual pattern. Sand casting is prohibitively expensive today and so this must be a very old replacement. It is not a fake or forgery as the hallmarks have not been faithfully reproduced. |
