DESCRIPTION Irish Georgian silver Fiddle pattern fork, crest engraved verso. Outer fork tines will invariably wear more than the inner and eventually all need to be clipped level again and the tips repointed. Forks of this period were made with extra tine length to allow for this routine maintenance several times over. This example has been tine clipped and pointed recently so all are level and perfectly functional but has now reached the limit in my opinion, maybe just passing beyond into stubbiness.
