INDEX | ALL SILVER |
DESCRIPTION | Extremely scarce set of three Chinese Export double struck Fiddle, Thread & Shell with Union Shell Heel pattern teaspoons with frontal monogram engraving. All the hallmarks are pseudo English Georgian marks so most likely these spoons were made for the British market. UPDATE: After cleaning and polishing these spoons I now believe them to be silver plated and NOT solid silver. This actually makes them rarer and perhaps more interesting as it likely indicates a tale of deception. |
