| DESCRIPTION | Good and useful English solid sterling silver wine funnel with rope twist decorated rims, shell suspension hook and star pierced bowl. Designed to be used with muslin. The pierced bowl holds back any cork but the main straining is done by a piece of muslin sandwiched between bowl and funnel. For extra clarity I like to also add a disc of cotton wool pad held in place by the muslin. Make up removal pads are ideal. Morrison (UK supermarket) do a particular good one labelled 'Skin, nutmeg, 100% cotton'. Press the base rim of the bowl into the pad, cut out the disc and hold in place beneath bowl with muslin and funnel part. |
