Polishing the dome top has caused some faults. Some of the very fine points of the piercing, particularly evident in the higher quatrefoils, have broken off (all shown below). This is caused when the the little points of the piercing catch in the polishing cloth. There are also some small, soft bumps to the shoulders of the domed top. | ||
